For transport and logistics businesses

Many business owners in the trade know these situations well. Under each one you can read what Ainio does for you.

  • The freight request is missing the weight, the dimensions and whether a tail lift is needed, and they’re chased one message at a time.

You get a reply ready, and in the same message it asks for just what’s missing: the quantity, weight, tail lift and delivery time.

  • Kilometres and driving time are worked out by hand for the quote, and the return trip is easily forgotten.

The drive is worked out from your start address to the customer and back, and the travel rows go into the quote at your price per kilometre. You don’t have to count kilometres by hand.

  • The day’s stops are on paper, and the office doesn’t know which ones have already been done.

The stops are in the run details in driving order, and the route opens on the map. The driver marks each stop as done on the phone.

  • The consignment note is written by hand, and the signature and remarks stay on paper.

You get the consignment note as a PDF. The recipient signs for the delivery on the driver’s phone, and the condition of the goods is printed on the note.

  • More transport requests come in than your vehicles can take, and it isn’t clear which ones are worth taking. In the Huippu plan

Ainio tells you which runs fit into your week and which of them earn you the most. Driving time and vehicle costs are included, so a long run doesn’t look better than it really is.

Try it free for 30 days and get set up in about 10 minutes. Nothing goes to the customer without your approval.

Frequently asked questions

What haulage businesses often ask

Here are the answers to the questions transport and logistics businesses ask before they start using Ainio.

How does Ainio work out travel for the quote?

You set your start address and what the customer pays for travel: a price per kilometre, a fixed travel charge or nothing, and if you like, travel time at an hourly rate too. Ainio works out the drive from the start address to the customer and back and adds the travel rows to the quote. When the map service is in use, driving times come from it; otherwise the trip is estimated from the postcode. The vehicle cost per kilometre, covering fuel, servicing and wear, is a figure you set yourself. Only you see it, when Ainio works out how much you earn per hour.

Can one run have several stops?

Yes, up to 20 pickups and deliveries. You add them in the order they’ll be driven, and Ainio doesn’t change the order. The route opens on the map in the same order, and the driver marks the stops as done on the phone.

How does the recipient sign for the delivery?

The driver shows the phone to the recipient. They type their name, choose the condition of the goods and sign with a finger. The signature and any remarks are printed on the consignment note.

Can a regular customer’s runs for the month go on one invoice?

Yes. On the Invoices page under Monthly consolidated invoices you see the same customer’s completed runs for the month, and the Create a consolidated invoice button gathers them onto one invoice by date.

What if goods are damaged in transit?

The recipient chooses “Damage or shortage” when signing and writes what was damaged, and this is printed on the consignment note. If the customer complains afterwards, Ainio shows the delivery details on the complaint card. From there you can arrange a warranty repair or download a summary for the insurance company as a PDF.

Does Ainio send anything to the customer without me?

No. Ainio drafts replies, quotes and invoices, and they go out only once you approve them.

Is Ainio quoting and invoicing software for haulage businesses?

Yes, and a bit more. You make your quotes and invoices with Ainio, and you also get replies to customer messages ready, jobs in your calendar and a view of which invoices have been paid. The bookkeeping is still done in your accounting software.

How much does Ainio cost?

Plans start at €99 a month (+ VAT), and depending on the plan you can have up to 3, 8 or 15 users. You can try Ainio free for 30 days, and during the trial you get the full Huippu plan (with trial usage limits). There is no lock-in, and you can cancel at any time.
