What plumbing and HVAC businesses often ask

Here are the answers to the questions plumbing and HVAC businesses ask before they start using Ainio.

How does Ainio know my prices?

Ainio uses your own price list. You can import the price list from a file or paste it in as text. For materials you can also import your wholesaler’s price list and decide how much you add on top of the purchase price. You can always change the price before the reply goes out.

Does anything go to the customer without my permission?

No. Ainio drafts replies, quotes and invoices, but you decide what is sent. A message only goes to the address the customer contacted you from. The only exceptions are the order confirmation to a consumer customer and the cancellation receipt, if you switch on sending them automatically yourself.

How does the household deduction show on the invoice?

When the customer is a household, Ainio works out on the final invoice, in euros, the share of labour that qualifies for the household deduction. You can check and correct the amount at the top of the invoice before it goes out.

How is extra work on a renovation handled?

You add the extra work to the job details, and the customer approves it from a link. Approved extra work moves to the final invoice. On big jobs you can split the billing into an advance invoice and a final invoice.

Do I still need accounting software?

Yes. Ainio makes the invoices, sends them and keeps track of payments, but the bookkeeping is done in your accounting software. Ainio gathers the month’s invoices into one package for your accountant.

Is Ainio quoting and invoicing software for plumbing and HVAC businesses?

Yes, and a bit more. You make your quotes and invoices with Ainio, and you also get replies to customer messages ready, jobs in your calendar and a view of which invoices have been paid. The bookkeeping is still done in your accounting software.
